Stonehenge Run Report Jan 2010

Report by Gibby…..
The day started very wet at the Ballance scenic reserve, but off to Stonehenge Aotearoa we went traveling along some scenic back country roads, through to Nireaha and Rongokokako to Mount Bruce for a “wee” break, from there to Carterton, EATING LOLLIES ALL THE WAY, arrived at Stonehenge in beautiful sunshine, out with the sun block and brollies, and a great picnic lunch of course.
The trek around the stones was very interesting and educational.
A good turn out once again with 22 cars, with awesome weather in the end, along with awesome people – what an enjoyable day.
Some pictures have been added to the gallery, and, as always feel free to comment on the run if you wish. Certainly looked to be an excellent start for another year of great cars, good friends and good times with MG Manawatu!
What a beautiful day and a great run. I’m amazed at the different roads we travelled down in the area I was brought up in that I have never seen. Thank you Gibby and Marie for a great day.
Thanks to Gibby and Marie for a great day out and at a pace we could all enjoy
My Aunt from England wanted to join me for the run
and she very much enjoyed the area and the countryside
Chris and Barbara provided good company and also a good chat
After a coffee in Carterton we went to the Paua shop before heading home
Yes it was a great trip and we loved it when the sun came out at Stonehenge. Thanks Gibby and Marie for organizing it for MG Manawatu and taking us over roads we did not know about. Well done!
PS We liked the milk bottles, do you have home delivery service?
