Found after Christmas lunch, 1 sharp knife, 4 spoons wrapped in a serviette and 1 spoon with a blue handle. We will bring these to the January planning picnic.

I've heard that the MG Manawatu group had another excellent and productive planning meeting today with an array of activities planned - make sure you keep an eye on the website events calendar which will be updated as soon as the final details are confirmed and sent through.....

Just wondering if we will be flying MG Manawatu banner at any of the up coming events I.E. ,British car day 8th feb,----Shannon car show sponsored by supercheap 19th feb ---generally a very good show -------Manawatu car show 2nd april . and I think generally one in Napier about this time too ????? We missed the wheels with attitude in Dannevirke a couple of weeks ago. cheers Des.

Thanks Des for alerting the group on these car shows, I've added the Shannon show to the events calendar for everyone. Would be good to see the banner representing the group too at any of these.

If anyone else has any motoring related event dates that may be of interest, let us know via the blog and they can be added to the list of events that may be of interest to all.

Remember the British Car Day this weekend, Sun the 12th. If any are interested in going, no matter if you want to turn up later than the 10 a.m. opening, let me know either by e-mail, txt or cell. 02110486963. I will keep you informed of when we get there, & what is happening etc (as we are getting there individually rather than as a group). Robert W is dropping the club Banner off to me, but it would be nice if we had more than two cars there. Cheers Rob

If you get the urge for a Sunday drive in your MG (or any other car for that matter) you need to know about Sunday Sessions at Awastone Riverside Haven at Mangaweka.
Every Sunday afternoon through to mid-April you can enjoy live music and good food in a lovely riverside setting. Doors open at 3pm, music starts at 4 and continues into the evening.
Just roll up and be very pleasantly surprised at what you find.

Great day out at the Pre 56 MG Rally in Whanganui yesterday, weather was perfect and there was an impressive range of spectacular old MG's including a K1 Magnette, other rare early cars (SA, WA, J, M, NA etc) along with an impressive array of T Types and MGA's. Keep an eye on the gallery as some photos will get there at some point....

Many thanks to John Edwards and sister Judy for an enjoyable evening last Saturday. The weather was perfect - there were a lot of campers and motorhomes at Totara Reserve and we were able to relax outside on the deck at Johns place with plenty to eat and good conversation!

Disappointed to see our MID WINTER XMAS DINNER ON THE WELLINGTON WEBSITE WITHOUT ANY MENTION OF MANAWATU. READING this you would think it is a WELLINGTON EVENT The question I ask have MANAWATU now lost their identity?I have no problem with Wellington but lets keep our identities separate as per the vote that was taken for the direction of the club a few years ago. This should be headed Manawatu xmas dinner I would like to see this error amended FORWITH///.
