Behind the Shed Door - 15 June 2025
This was one for all the restoration enthusiasts and anyone who appreciates the amount of work that goes into these projects. Nice to see the weather was kind for the cuppas and lunch outside in the winter sun. Thanks to Roger and Mary Pick for arranging the outing, Steve for his report, and Robyn, Robert and Liz for their photos. ![]()

Wings and Wheels - 24 May 20025
A run close to home for our Manawatu members, but I'm sure there were a few that hadn't been to these venues. A beautiful Autumn day for a drive and a good turnout. Thanks to Robert for organising the outing, Steve for the report, and Robyn, Liz and Robert for their photos. ![]()

Weekend Away - 9-11 May 2025
Another superbly organised run by John and Viv, exploring some of Central Hawkes Bay's roads and beaches. These weekend away runs are great for getting to know fellow club members a little better, especially some of our newer enthusiasts. Apart from Robyn and Steve's breakdown, it looks like it was a very enjoyable couple of days. Thanks to John and Viv for the planning, and Steve, Robyn and Liz for their reports and photos. |

Rongotea Lions Club Car Show - 13 April 2025
This is a popular annual event and fundraiser for the Lions Club, and some of our local MG Manawatu members as well as friends from the Wellington club attended. Congratulations to Pat and Lynette for winning best MG in the show and thank you to all who participated. Steve's report is attached, as well as some photos to see - thank you for these. ![]()

Wairarapa Tour - 29 March 2025
It sounds like this was a great day trip, and everyone appreciated the time and commitment that have gone into these two quite different venues. Orthodox churches are well known for their vibrancy and distinct style in religious decoration, but probably not something people have an opportunity to see in New Zealand. I remember visiting Pointon's several years ago, and enjoying seeing the clothes tied into the era as well as the cars. Many thanks to Sandy and Trevor for organising the run, and to Liz, Robyn and Steve for photos and the report. ![]()

MG Pre-56 National Rally weekend and MG Manawatu display in Square - 2 March 2025
A fine display of Pre-56 MGs for the enthusiasts to gather around, as well as a good contribution from our own members with their cars on display as well. Thanks again to Steve and Robyn for photos and a report, and to Pat Widdup for facilitating our club's involvement. ![]()

Villa Candotti Gardens - 16 February 2025
Another beautiful garden setting to wander around and catch up over lunch, no doubt appreciating the huge amount of work that would have gone into establishing this "Taste of Tuscany". Thanks to Steve and Robyn Higgison for the report and photos ![]()
