Another full day's run visiting a variety of locations in South Taranaki on what turned out to be a lovely winter's day with fine views of the mountain as we headed for Hawera. After meeting at the Coach House Museum in Feilding, attendees enjoyed a cooked breakfast and the chance to socialise before heading off on a varied programme, kindly organised by Sandy and Trev Hardy, thank you. We viewed the progress of the new highway to replace the Gorge, learnt about our local native bird recovery centre, and embraced our inner child on the Esplanade Railway - a fun day out for all. Sanson Woolshed Houses - 6 April 2024
A beautiful autumn day saw a group of cars head off on a short run around the Bulls and Sanson area before a tasty lunch at The Woolshed Cafe. Most people then took the opportunity to take the tour around the display of houses from various eras, which proved very interesting and thankful for the easy life we lead today. Thanks to Alan and Robyn Henry for arranging this outing, and Graeme Barnard and Alan for reports on the day.
