Christmas Party - 4 December 2022
Our last gathering for the year was a little different, with us all having been Op Shopping for a gift to recycle - what a great idea! A very well-presented meal and a fun game of pass the parcel with a difference meant an enjoyable time was had by all; read more about it in the report, thanks to Steve and Robyn. Thanks to Sandy and Anne for organising the occasion, and to Robert Wilson for the photos. Our next gathering will be the Planning Meeting in January, so thinking hats on so we can continue enjoying our great outings. Lastly, a wonderful Christmas and holiday season to you all! See you in the New Year!

Medieval War Machines and Family Museum - 13 November 2022
Another run with the weather a little unsettled, but we had an enjoyable back roads drive up to Ashley Clinton to view a very impressive collection of working war machines and to hear about some adventuring around the world, with the trophies to prove it. Many thanks to Steve and Robyn Higgison for this interesting outing, and for the photos supplied and run report.

Weekend in the Wairarapa - 15 & 16 October 2022
Although it was a cool day and not many soft tops down, we had a good run out to the delightful Brancepeth homestead, where we were given a very informative tour by the current owner with a picnic lunch in the stables provided. Those that were able to stay overnight then enjoyed better weather and enjoyable driving on Sunday. Read all about it in Sue Forde's report and check out the photos Liz Morris has supplied. Thanks to everyone involved in the weekend and especially to John and Viv Eames for organising it.

Antiques & Collectables Road Trip - 17 September 2022
We had a good turnout for this varied run, with some places to visit that I'm sure were in the "I must stop there sometime" category. The weather was kind to us, and there were plenty of opportunities for chatting and reminiscing over treasures from bygone days. A big thank you to Ian and Sue Bailey for organising the run, Steve Higgison for the report, and to everyone who sent in photos - a great selection this month!

Police College Visit - 20 August 2022
Although the weather was OK when we left, it rapidly deteriorated heading south, and made for challenging driving conditions, especially for those of us in older model MGs, prone to leaking and underpowered wipers! However I think everyone agreed it was worth it, as it proved a very interesting trip to the museum, and some yummy food at the Gear Homestead cafe, with a chance for a chat. Thanks to Rob Illingworth for arranging the visit, and Steve Higgison for the report.

Wow, what a wonderful weekend we all had! The weather was a lot better than originally forecast, leading to great drives on some fun roads, with some interesting stops along the way - so many talented and passionate people tucked away in their sheds. Many thanks to Robin and Claire Brown, and Gary and Lorna Wood for organising a very enjoyable weekend, and also to Claire, Robyn and Steve Higgison, and Robert Wilson for their reports, and to Robert Wilson and Anne Ireland for sending through some great photos to record it all.

Mid Winter Dinner and Run - 18 June 2022
Pat and Lynette organised another great outing for the June run, with a couple of interesting stops before a mid winter dinner celebration at Portofino's restaurant, with the popular Beetle game to finish. Thanks to Robert Wilson for the photos and report, and to Pat and Lynette for organising the day.

Bruce Ardell's Car Museum - 10 April 2022
There was a good turnout of members for this run to visit Bruce's fascinating lifetime's collection of cars, parts and memorabilia at Fordell, followed by the chance to picnic and explore at Virginia Lake in Whanganui. Thanks to Toni Jenkins and Robert Wilson for organising the day, and to Steve Higgison for his report.

Kapiti Tram Museum - 20 March 2022
A good run down to Kapiti to learn more of the fascinating era of trams, which, no doubt, some of our members will recall from their younger days. A big thank you to the Horowhenua VCC and tram museum staff for their hospitality, and to Robert Wilson for the trifecta - run organisation, report and photos.
